VX200 - VX200 series Media Converters
The VX200
is a Fast Ethernet media converter that translates transmission signals from a
twisted-pair 100BASE-TX cable to 100BASE-FX fiber optic cable. It extends
network data transmission distances beyond the 100 meters limitation distances
of copper wire to a maximum of 40 kilometers by using the Single Mode fiber
optic model. The VX200 100BaseTX-to-FX Media Converter is typically used to
connect Fast Ethernet devices, such as 100Base-TX Hubs, at long distances. The
VX200 will connect servers or workstations located up to 100 kilometers from
