The Xpresso 1602 is a low-cost Two-port 10/100Mbps switch designed for connecting existing 10Mbps or 100Mbps networks. Both ports of the Xpresso 1602 can function at either 10Mbps or 100Mbps through auto-negotiation and auto-detection. Xpresso 1602 provides a cost-effective way to integrate legacy 10Mbps segments with 100Mbps fast Ethernet networks, it is an ideal solution for extending the distance between two 100Mbps network segments. The LEDs on the front panel of Xpresso 1602 allow network manager to inspect the status of both ports, which makes the network diagnostics a breeze.

The Xpresso 1602 comes with an FX fiber port for distance requirements longer than 100 meters. The model 1602F has one 100BASE-FX fiber port and one 100BASE-TX port.
