The
OV-711C operates as a standard ADSL modem by default to provide an
'always-on' connection to the Internet or corporate network, or to enable a
connection-oriented operation as an ADSL router* offering additional
security through user authentication.
It provides an Ethernet and an USB interfaces
for connection to a small, home-office LAN or a single Ethernet-equipped PC to
access Internet.
Since its embedded PPPoE client function can
establish a connection, no PPPoE client software is required for local
computer. A built-in Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server
automatically assigns IP addresses to PCs on the LAN, and with
Network Address Translation (NAT) these PCs can share a single IP
address. Its built in Virtual Sever and DMZ will support special
applications on line.
OV-711C supports user-friendly web based GUI for
configuration and management.
